Gourds and Crafts
O Siyo. A little about me:
I was born in NE Oklahoma. I am very proud of my Cherokee heritage. God has also blessed me with a loving husband, Chris. We’ve been married since 1973. We have two adult children; Rick and Amanda. We have a beautiful granddaughter Grace E, who was born in 2013, and is the love of our lives.
I was introduced to gourds in 2001 by a dear friend who gave me some that he had grown and said, ‘try it and see what you can come up with’. Once I started, I haven’t been able to stop. Thank you Ron (Arbee).
Chris is a huge part of my gourd art because he helps with the design and color ideas. He has an ‘eye’ for color and gives me a lot of ideas and support. He sets up my art show spaces and is a great help with customers who have questions.
In March of 2006, I was diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal Cancer. Gourd art became my therapy. All of my artwork is one of a kind, and there are no two items exactly alike. If you see anything that you like, please feel free to email me and together we can work on a great piece of gourd art for you.
What I have shown IS available for purchase with the exception, of course, those items that are listed as SOLD. There is quite a bit of my sold work that I have not included in the webpage, and I’ll eventually remove all of the gourd art that has sold. There is quite a bit of my work still available that I haven’t been able to add here yet. I will get to it eventually.
For the last few years, I only do one art show a year and its at The Village Venture in Claremont, California
the last Saturday in October. I have loyal customers who visit me there every year.
If you see something that you like that is sold, I can create something similar if you so desire. Just let me know what you like and what you are interested in. Each of my gourds are one of a kind, signed and dated on the bottom.
I hope you enjoy looking thru these pages of my gourds and crafts. If you see anything that interests you, or just have a question, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or post me a comment.
Most of all, thank you for visiting my website !
